COOK AND ART

Solar cooking innovation:

We’re solar driven!

The IDCOOK brand is part of the SUNITED group working through a research and development programme directed towards concentrated solar power (CSP) to bring innovations that benefit and work in harmony with their geographical and human environment.

IDCOOK strives to find ways to harness the sun’s resources to the maximum in an effort to preserve our planet, as part of a broader vision of sustainable development.

Our solar cooking journey

March 2011, IDCOOK has just completed its 6th round of fundraising to enable development of new solar projects for use by all citizens across the globe.

IDCOOK received the French Janus de l’Industrie industrial design award, for its COOKUP 200 solar grill. We are currently developing a number of applications based on the revolutionary “S-REFLECT” solar mirror used in the COOKUP solar barbecue range.

Since 2010, IDCOOK has brought together investment from 53 shareholders, including the European Noria investment fund specialising in renewable energy. It also has the backing of a number of business angels and investors from the social and solidarity economy.

In July 2010, IDCOOK was granted “new innovator” status (Jeune enterprise innovante, awarded to French companies committed to research and development that have been in business for less than 8 years).

Early 2010, IDCOOK was the winner of two successive prizes at outdoor exhibitions: the Sett d’or awarded at the Montpellier outdoor equipment exhibition and the Prize for Innovation at the Journées des collections.

In 2007 we obtained the backing of French Innovation Agency Oséo. In 2010, Oséo renewed its confidence in a broad-scoped research project into concentrated solar power.

November 2006 IDCOOK wins the European Competition for Innovation in sustainable development, held for the 6th occasion by the French Junior Chamber of Economics.

In April 2006, IDCOOK was a winner at the CréaRif competition held by the Conseil régional d'Ile de France. This competition aims to support social and solidarity economy initiatives working in tandem with developing countries.
